MEET L. DAWN KING

L. Dawn King is a children’s book author who has published five books written from the heart, inspired by the greatest joys of her life, her two beautiful children, Preston and Payton. They are her motivation, her purpose, and the reason behind every story she tells. Through her books, she lovingly captures moments from their lives, creating stories that encourage children to dream big, believe in themselves, and find joy in everyday experiences.

Born from both love and loss, Dawn’s journey into authorship began after the passing of her father, a moment that awakened her to live life fully and chase dreams she once thought was out of reach. Becoming an author is her heartfelt dedication to honoring her father’s memory while building a lasting legacy for her children.

Dawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, where she balances her professional background with her creative passion for storytelling. When she’s not writing, she enjoys ziplining, hiking, reading, karaoke, and spending cherished time with her children and family.

Through her stories, L. Dawn King hopes to inspire young readers and families everywhere reminding them that love, courage, and imagination can turn even the smallest moments into something truly magical.
